Grant Award Scheme

Olveston Parish Council (OPC) are proud to offer our local community the option to apply for a grant to support any group, organisation that has a specific project or, someone that can demonstrate they bring a sense of enrichment to our Parish.

The Council awards grants, at its discretion, to parish organisations which can demonstrate a clear need for financial support to benefit the parish by:

  • Providing a service
  • Enhancing the quality of life
  • Improving recreation and / or sports
  • Improving the environment
  • Promoting the Parish of Olveston in a positive way.

Any organisation applying for a grant must be either non-profit or charitable. Applications will not be considered from private organisations operated as a business to make a profit or surplus.

The Grants will be awarded twice a year, in September and March, the amount available is £5K per annum , which is to be split into £2,500 for each of the terms. The amount and who will be awarded, for each application, will be reviewed and proposed by the Parish Council Grant Committee, discussed and approved by the at a full Parish Council meeting.
