The Severn Bridge Road Race


The Severn Bridge Road Race is a National level cycle race which dates back to the 1960s and is organised each year by Bristol Road Club.

For 20 years up to 2013 it was held on the Olveston circuit, which is proposed to be used again on 1st March 2020. The race will be 10 laps of a 10km circuit, the race starts in Alveston and finishes in Old Down and it passes through Alveston, Elberton, Olveston and Tockington each lap. There are 80 competitors and the race takes about 3 hours.
